Dr. Kurt Neven DuMont Medal

Publisher Dr. Kurt Neven DuMont was a significant founding member and sponsor of the former Rhine Westphalian Advertising School, now called Westdeutsche Akademie für Kommunikation e.V. Köln (WAK). In 1975, the then Director of the school, Dr. Zankl, provided the inspiration for an award, which was supposed to serve to commemorate the founding president. Prof. Alfred Neven DuMont picked up on this inspiration and arranged for the design of a medal. Since 1976, the Dr. Kurt Neven DuMont Medal has been awarded each year to various personalities from the world of advertising, research and teaching. The holders of this medal will at the same time become honorary members of the non-profit organization.
