Druckerei- und Verlagsgesellschaft (Rheinische Post) and the W.
Girardet Publishing Company (Westdeutsche Zeitung) enter into the
domestic letters and parcels business with the newly founded
umbrella company West
Mail in April.

Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger expands its range of
products and services by a Magazin published daily in half format
in March.

The subscribers of Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger,
Kölnische Rundschau, EXPRESS and Mitteldeutsche Zeitung
receive a subscription card in March.

In March, DuMont Schauberg, the Düsseldorf
media group "Rheinische Post", WZ Plus
("Westdeutsche Zeitung", "Solinger Tageblatt",
"Remscheider General-Anzeiger"), Bonner
"General-Anzeiger" as well as the newspaper publisher
Aachen ("Aachener Nachrichten", "Aachener
Zeitung") start up the regional small ads online portal
kalaydo.de (situations vacant,
cars, real estate as well as a market place).
