Kölnische Rundschau

Kölnische Rundschau has occupied a prominent place in the newspaper landscape in the Cologne/Bonn conurbation since its foundation in the year 1946. Its grown local-regional combination as well as its comprehensive and competent reporting ensure that Kölnische Rundschau and its local editions in the districts of Erft, Euskirchen and Cologne, together with the newspapers Bonner Rundschau, Rhein-Sieg Rundschau, Bergische Landeszeitung and Oberbergische Volks-Zeitung have the high regard of a wide readership . Every day, 120 editors and numerous freelance employees research and write for the twelve Rundschau local editions.

Since 8 May 2000, Helmut Heinen, Rundschau publisher and grandson of the Rundschau founder Dr. Reinhold Heinen, has been president of the Bundesverband deutscher Zeitungsverleger [Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers] (BDZV). In this prominent position he represents the interests of the daily press in Germany far beyond the regional borders.
