The tabloid with local roots published by M. DuMont Schauberg is
the shamelessly topical mouthpiece of the region and the advocate
of its readers. Seven times a week, the editorial board
demonstrates its competence, for at EXPRESS there is more than only
lurid scribble. Exciting reporting combines with well-founded
background information and critical commentaries.
EXPRESS is the leading newsstand newspaper in Rhineland with the
highest competence for the region. It appears with three editions
in the area of circulation: in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Bonn,
from the Eifel region to Oberbergisches Land.
EXPRESS is characterized by topical, well-received topics, series and service elements. Its style is like the people in Rhineland: tolerant, cosmopolitan, full of humour with a trace of emotionality. One of the very strong points of EXPRESS: sport.
The publisher Alfred Neven DuMont founded the newsstand newspaper in 1964. Since 1999, his son Konstantin Neven DuMont (in charge) and Christian DuMont Schütte (both 12th generation) have been co-publishers of EXPRESS.
Since 1 March 2004, EXPRESS has also been available on subscription.
