The Berliner Kurier was first published under the header "BZ am Abend" (BZ in the evening) on 2nd December 1990. This made it clear that a new newspaper for a new Berlin had been created from the well-loved, much-read old journal.
The Berliner Kurier adopted its new, current format on 20th February 1996. The paper stands for critical, yet fair reporting from Berlin. Its readers value the topicality and reliability of the coverage and its well-structured, clear presentation.
